This policy explains what personal data AdSpot Media (“AdSpot”, “we”) collects, why, and your rights over it. It applies to our marketplace at adspot.media and its country sites (in.adspot.media, za.adspot.media).
1. Data we collect
Account data — name, email, password (stored only as a hash), role, and organization. Listing data — media details, locations, photos, and pricing you submit. Inquiry data — messages between buyers and owners. Payment data — subscription status and provider references; card details are handled by our payment providers, not by us. Technical data — IP address, device/browser information, and usage logs.
2. How we use it
To operate the marketplace (create accounts, publish listings, route inquiries), to process subscriptions and partner commissions, to secure and improve the service, and to communicate with you about your account. We rely on your consent, our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running the service.
3. Location data
When you list media using the mobile field flow, we use your device location (with your permission) to place the listing on the map and to reverse-geocode an address via Google. You can decline and enter the location manually.
4. Sharing and processors
We share data with service providers who process it on our behalf: Google (Maps and geocoding), Cloudflare R2 (image storage), our email provider (transactional email), and payment providers (Razorpay in India, Paystack in South Africa). Listing content and your public seller name are visible to other users by design. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, tax, or dispute-resolution obligations.
6. Your rights
Subject to your local law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@adspot.media.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
